HINCKLEY & DISTRICT AIR RIFLE LEAGUE MEETING HELD AT

ASHBY ROAD SPORTS CLUB Thursday July 3^rd 2008

1. This meeting was to consider and resolve the required changes to Charity Cup Competitions, following the adoption of the proposal at the AGM that the league comprise one division.
2. The following Teams were represented :- Ashby Road, Ashby Road B, Hinckley Phoenix, Prince of Wales, Smallshaws, Sporting Libs, Taylor & Ayre, Trojans.
3. It was proposed by Hinckley Phoenix that the Smith Cup should be shot by all teams with the highest total score on the night being  the overall winner.
   1. Matches to be shot on the same night, as per fixture list.
   2. Matches to be decided by a draw  with the 11th Team shooting at a target alongside another match at a suitable venue, so as to be witnessed.  The first team drawn will be the home team for each match.
   3. The format to be eight nominated shooters. No reserves or substitutions once a shooter has commenced shooting.  Captains may agree for Team Members to be shot out nominated order.
   4. Each shooter to have 1 sighting shot if required, followed by 10 scoring shots to count.
   5. Normal scoring rules to apply. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
   6. Team with the highest overall score to be declared winner, in the event of a tie, countback will apply.

After consideration this was unanimously agreed to be trialled for this year.

1.    For the Paynes cup, Ashby Road proposed that this take the format of a consolation cup to be shot between the four Teams with the lowest League points totals.

a.    The matches to be shot on the same night at Ashby Road Sports club

b.    The format to be 8 from 11.

c.    Each shooter to have 1 sighting shot if required,  followed by six scoring shots.

d.    Normal scoring rules to apply, as above

e.    The Team with the highest total of eight shooters will be declared the winner, in the event of a tie the match will be decided by countback.

This was also unanimously agreed by the Teams present.
